Kentucky has a rich music tradition heavily centered on Appalachian Folk music. Kentucky is the birthplace of Bluegrass Music. From Renfro Valley to the Mountain Arts Center, to the Country Music Highway (Highway 23) to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, to the many music festivals held in Kentucky each year - it has been said that you can't throw a rock in this state without hitting someone with musical talent.
